EOT Cranes & Hoists for Galvanizing

Moving components through a galvanizing line from pre-treatment tanks to the kettle to quenching involves lifting heavy, often awkwardly shaped loads repeatedly throughout a shift. EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) cranes and hoists handle this movement, lifting and transferring loads across the plant floor without requiring floor-level equipment that would otherwise compete for space with tanks and kettles. For structural steel and general galvanizing especially, crane capacity and reach directly determine what size components a plant can actually process.

Monorail Crane System

Not every galvanizing plant needs a full EOT crane setup for plants with a fixed, repetitive production path, a monorail crane system offers a simpler alternative. Instead of a crane that moves freely across a wide floor area, a monorail runs along a fixed overhead track, carrying loads along a predetermined route through pre-treatment, the kettle, and quenching. It’s a more constrained system by design, but that constraint often works in its favor for plants with a consistent, linear production flow.

Automatic Crane System​

An automatic crane system runs on a programmed sequence, moving loads through pre-treatment, the kettle, and quenching without an operator manually triggering each movement. Unlike a monorail’s fixed track or a manually operated EOT crane, automatic systems typically combine crane movement, dip timing, and tank sequencing into one coordinated cycle, cutting down on the timing variation that comes with manual operation while still retaining more flexibility than a fixed-route monorail.

Hydraulic Loading & Unloading Station

Loading and unloading components to and from jigs or racks prior to their entry into the galvanization process line and after they have been galvanized is a strenuous activity, especially for heavy structural components. The hydraulic loading and unloading station makes use of hydraulically driven mechanical devices that facilitate the lifting, tilting or positioning of components during the loading and unloading processes.

Jig Lowering & Lifters

After a part is put into the jig or rack, it must be carefully lowered into the zinc kettle at an appropriate speed if too quick, the surface of molten zinc gets disturbed and air bubbles form; if too slow, it will slow down the whole manufacturing process. The system for lowering and raising jigs provides precisely such a transfer, ensuring that the process of lowering the jig in and out of the kettle goes smoothly for all the batches, no matter who works on the line.

Chain Conveyor System

Not every galvanizing plant relies on cranes for moving loads for plants processing smaller, more uniform components in higher volumes, a chain conveyor system offers a continuous, automated way to move parts through pre-treatment stages without individual crane cycles for each load. Components ride along a chain-driven track at a controlled pace, passing through tanks and stages in sequence rather than being picked up and set down repeatedly.

Material Transfer Trolleys

Not every load transition in a galvanizing plant needs a crane or conveyor sometimes moving a batch from one area to another, like from a loading station to the start of the pre-treatment line, is better handled by a material transfer trolley. These are wheeled, often rail-guided carts that move components or loaded jigs across the plant floor between fixed points, filling the gap between stationary equipment and full overhead handling systems.

Pneumatic Dross Grab

Dross the iron-zinc byproduct that settles at the bottom of the kettle during galvanizing needs to be removed regularly, or it builds up and interferes with dipping quality and kettle capacity. The dross grab is pneumatically operated, whereby it is powered by means of air that lift the dross from the kettle without having to be scooped or raked manually by the laborers since it is strenuous work done near the molten zinc.
